An international exchange event aimed at connecting the youth entrepreneurial ecosystems between Kaohsiung and Suwon City, South Korea, successfully concluded on August 26 at the MEGABAY startup base. The event, co-hosted by Legend Innovation and guided by the Kaohsiung City Government’s Economic Development Bureau, brought together officials, young entrepreneurs, and startup teams from both cities to strengthen ties, share insights, and explore opportunities for collaboration.
Legend Innovation CEO Alex Chung highlighted MEGABAY’s role as an international startup base, introducing a “Softlanding Program for International Startup Teams” that offers incubation services from short-term residency to full-scale development. Chief Secretary Lin Yuxia of the Kaohsiung Economic Development Bureau emphasized the significance of the Kaohsiung-Suwon sister-city relationship established in 2019, pledging continued efforts to foster an international entrepreneurial environment. Suwon City’s Youth Policy Head Cho Younghee thanked Kaohsiung for its hospitality and expressed hope that youth exchanges will spark new innovations.
The program featured presentations from Kaohsiung startups. Ing Stingless Bee Ltd. founder Bing-heng Lee showcased ecological innovation through stingless bee technology and social enterprise practices, while WOWWOW Technology corporation COO Yunjie Yao demonstrated the application of AIXR technology in digital content and industry solutions. Visitors also experienced interactive showcases, including stingless bee honey tasting and Sports dynamo Co., Ltd’s Sports Power Flywheel, which highlighted Kaohsiung’s strengths in regional revitalization and smart manufacturing.
“For foreigners who want to start a business in Kaohsiung or at MEGABAY, what are the requirements for applying? Are the processes complicated or difficult?”, “What is WOWOW Technology’s business model? Is it mainly B2B or B2C? For example, are the VR games in children’s playgrounds your own products or customized project services?”, “Your presentation mentioned AI monitoring, could you explain further for which part of stingless bee farming the AI technology is applied to?” These questions in the dynamic Q&A session reflected strong interest from Korean entrepreneurs on policy support, business model, and technical applications. Legend Innovation CEO Alex Chung addressed questions and concluded by reaffirming MEGABAY’s one-stop international support, including visa facilitation and mentoring resources, underscoring Kaohsiung’s readiness to welcome global startup talent.
This exchange not only showcased Kaohsiung’s robust entrepreneurial ecosystem but also laid a concrete foundation for future cooperation with Suwon, reinforcing the city’s position as a base for international innovation.

交流會首先由高雄市政府經濟發展局林玉霞主任秘書、誠研創新鍾金峯總經理,以及水原市青年政策組CHO YOUNGHEE組長輪流致詞揭開序幕。林主任秘書強調,高雄與水原自2019年締結為友好城市,此次參訪意義非凡,市府將持續打造國際化的創業環境。CHO YOUNGHEE組長則感謝高雄的熱情接待,並期許兩地青年能透過交流激發更多創新火花。在專業口譯員的協助下,語言的隔閡被打破,雙方對未來合作的期盼在真誠的對話中展露無遺。

活動中,在地團隊的實戰分享成為全場焦點。從高醫大帶著科研技術創業的「迎蜂有限公司」創辦人李秉衡深入淺出地介紹台灣原生種無螫蜂的生態價值,讓在場的韓國創業家們對台灣的社會企業與地方創生留下了深刻印象。緊接著,KO-IN智高點進駐公司「哇哇科技」營運長姚筠潔以活潑的視覺設計與清晰的案例,展示團隊如何將AIXR技術應用於體感遊戲、數位內容及產業解決方案,充分展現高雄在數位內容領域的強大實力。
在壓軸的互動體驗環節,現場氣氛被推向最高潮。來賓們兵分兩路,一邊圍繞在迎蜂有限公司的攤位前,品嚐著由無螫蜂採集、風味獨特的珍貴蜂蜜,其與眾不同的微酸口感與更高的營養價值,讓韓國朋友們驚艷不已;另一邊,來訪團隊也深度體驗大港創艦進駐廠商「力能電實業」的「運動發電飛輪車」產品魅力,高德明營運長熱情的介紹自家的技術與商業模式,互動非常熱烈。最後在大合影中結束本場國際交流活動並相約下次韓國水原市見面。

在活動的Q&A環節,韓國創業青年們展現出高度的參與熱情並踴躍交流。第一位提問:「請問除了台灣人之外,外國人如果想在高雄或是在大港創艦這裡創業,申請進駐的條件是什麼?會不會有很複雜的流程或困難?」緊接著,另一位對哇哇科技分享內容感興趣的創業家追問:「哇哇科技的商業模式是什麼?主要是B2B還是B2C?像兒童樂園的VR遊戲,是你們自己的產品還是專案服務?」第三位提問者則對迎蜂有限公司的技術細節感到好奇:「簡報中提到AI監控,請問AI技術具體應用在無螫蜂養殖的哪個部分?」
