MEGABAY Meets the 2025 NASA Hackathon

The “MEGABAY Meets the 2025 NASA Hackathon” press conference and industry exchange event, co-hosted by the MEGABAY Startup Base and NASA Hackathon, showcased Taiwan’s growing role in global innovation. The event strengthened international collaboration and cross-cultural exchange, while providing startups, student teams, and local industries with opportunities to present technologies and applications on an international stage. Highlights included an overview of the NASA Hackathon, experience sharing from past global winning Taiwan teams, and demonstrations from manufacturers resident of base on IoT security and AI-driven smart manufacturing -bridging local solutions with global challenges.

By combining entrepreneurial energy, academic teams, and industry resources, the event emphasised not only competition but also long-term collaboration and commercialization. Through the “0-1Ambition” program, seed teams formed during the hackathon will be guided toward sustained partnerships and business ventures. This initiative underlines Kaohsiung’s efforts to cultivate cross-border talent, foster innovation industrialization, and advance internationalization. The city aims to establish a model for innovation promotion, connecting local problem-solving capacity with global platforms and showcasing diverse pathways from creativity to entrepreneurship.
